Sat, 15 November 2008 So, this is how it began...The Yeehaa Cowboys sprang to life from
the pages of a Screenplay, titled of course, The Yeehaa Cowboys!Having no money and no clout in the land of Hollywood North, we began our pitch with a lack of stuff that usually helps...success! Along the path of despair we hit upon an idea so magical, so fantastical that it rejuvenated our cowboy spirits...why not create a band out of the script...and see what happens! Ten years later...just kidding...about six months into our grand fable, a Toronto Theatre producer heard about this wacky cowpunk band with a script, read it, and produced what has now become legend, we think, in Toronto..."The Yeehaa Cowboys Stage Musical." With a cast of over 30, we think, the stage musical had become a rousing success and helped us to spawn...yes we said spawn...our debut CD release, "Cowpunk Baby, Cowpunk!" Vacaville is our tribute video to that enchanted theatrical time. Enjoy the Rabbi Ninjas. Yes, we said Rabbi Ninjas, Vlad Lupo, our honorary vampire cowboy, and the entire zany cast and crew that helped to make "The Yeehaa Cowboys Stage Musical" a success. Thank You Very Much! Sat, 2 February 2008 Tell me a lie in that haze I'd decide should I comfort you with tears Tell me a way that allows me to say I own everything you need Love I'm sorry that it never gave you strength Tell me a lie in that space I'd reply I'm already in your path I see you wandering through your days and I think you don’t know me And I feel wretched and torn delivered yet scorned I'm a man that heeds your will Tell me again why I must pretend that your last breath was mine I see you wandering through your days and I think you don't know me What if I said that I could act the part for you wouldn't that change the rules the words "I needed proof" what if you said that I could live apart from you wouldn't that make me want to stay Could you see through my eyes but I don't want to cry all night yeah I think you don't own me Could you steal more than time but I don't want to hide all night yeah I think you don't own me www.yeehaacowboys.com Comments[2] |

Wed, 30 January 2008 See the lines on my hand feel them crack hear my reasons change hope it's better than fate better not to compromise faith I was not to ride within my heart I adored yet I hold I may not arrive And I hear you say if your blue skies fall grey don't turn away I'll make it easy I'll pray prey on your desire hope its better than fear better than another lie faith I can not sense time let me go set me free maybe I could still arise And I hear you say if your blue skies fall grey don’t turn away And you drift into the pain and you hope that you're the only one to dare and you know that it's a trust that dies if you fall grey Touch the skin that binds it holds me to sin if I taste your words I’ll be the one to give in And I hear you say if your blue skies fall grey don't turn away www.yeehaacowboys.com Comments[0] |
Tue, 29 January 2008 I stayed awake just watching you asleep and I can't fade away can't say good-night Do you recall how I begged to steal your heart but I just gave way without a fight Your eyes were mine I saw it in your gaze and I knew I knew The last time we were together I kissed you you kissed me forever All read and torn I've ripped apart your words and there's no meaning there's no reply Stay and say it's never going to change end this story with the first line Your eyes were tired I saw it on your face and I knew I knew The last time we were together I kissed you you kissed me forever The last time we were together I loved you you loved me forever Even if the darkest lie saved you from the misery I'd given you I'd step aside I look back and I deny I was only sober when I cheated you took your pride The last time we were together I kissed you you kissed me forever The last time we were together I loved you you loved me forever www.yeehaacowboys.com Comments[0] |

Sun, 27 January 2008 Walkin' along feelin' down used to have the number one band in town now I'm just a washed up fool lookin' for a hit, man ain't life cruel Went to Mountain Records yesterday said old man ya' got nothin' to say I'm searchin' for a melody everywhere a hook, a riff, whatever you can spare I think about you every day I think about you every night I wonder why you left my side I think about you all the time all the lonely nights I cried feelin' like I could have died now I've got the Twang, the Twang, the Twang! So I stormed right back to the record company looked em' in the eye and said "you better sign me!" I got the Twang you fraud and it's coming from above I got a song, a sound, the kids are gonna love Well I've found myself a number one hit song every motherfucker wants to tag along this old man's a badass dude with the glitter shirts and a Nashville attitude I think about you every day I think about you every night I wonder why you left my side I think about you all the time all the lonely nights I cried feelin' like I could have died now I've got the Twang, the Twang, the Twang! I got a manger took me on a world tour made a ton of dough, now I’ll never be poor won a couple Grammy's, got a Puffy re-mix hit rock bottom sleepin' with the Dixie Chicks I played the festivals with kids half my age scared the shit outta me when they burned half the stage man I tell ya they gotta' whole a lotta' pain touring with the hip hop had me goin' insane I think about you every day I think about you every night I wonder why you left my side I think about you all the time all the lonely nights I cried feelin' like I could have died now I've got the Twang, the Twang, the Twang! So you're probably wondering how this song's gonna end why I quit the music biz all over again the Twang up and left me right in a flash cause' I got too greedy with all of that cash Booze, and broads, and gambling debts I spent my last $20 bucks on a hooker in fishnets let this be a lesson to you one and all If you get caught up in it you're bound to catch a fall I think about you every day I think about you every night I wonder why you left my side I think about you all the time all the lonely nights I cried feelin' like I could have died now I've got the Twang, the Twang, the Twang! www.yeehaacowboys.com Comments[0] |
